What’s the most exciting aspect of your job?

“The most exciting aspect of my job is spending time with the families. I enjoy seeing the impact counseling has on every participant.”

“Spending time with each family allows me to see growth, development and often times positive resolutions.”

“To be a part of positive change gives me the motivation to continue seeing families. Being a part of families’ development, I feel like I am making a difference.”

What’s the most exciting thing about you?

“The most exciting thing about me is my ability to adapt to difficult circumstances. This comes from having a sense of humor, and an optimistic outlook. I have learned not to take myself too seriously. I recognize the importance of my job and the significance of the role that I play, but I also recognize that people enjoy someone who can be themself. When I come to the homes, I believe it is my positive attitude that disarms people from any preconceived biases or concerns. Many times people don’t know what to expect when meeting a complete stranger inside of their home. I believe my approach of being kind and optimistic really helps them feel at ease.  They’re able to see that I am a guy who is genuinely being himself.”
